Description:  Obverse: Head of Diocletian, wearing laurel wreath and beard, wearing imperial mantle and holding branch in r. and mappa in l., facing r. Reverse: Providentia, draped, standing facing r., extending r. to Quies, draped, standing facing l., holding branch in r. and leaning on sceptre with l.; E, K and P in field, in between figures.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: D N DIOCLETIANO BHEATISS (Our Lord Diocletian, Most Blessed). Reverse: PROVIDENTIA DEORVM (The Foresight of the Gods). In Exergue: HLE

Notes:  According to RIC, the [A]LE in the exergue on the reverse and the E K P in the field of the reverse are mintmarks (officinae) indicating Alexandria.
