Description: Obverse: Head of Constantine, wearing laurel wreath, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Sol, naked but cloaked and radiate, standing facing l., raising r. hand and holding globe in l.; H S in field, to l. and r. respectively.
Inscriptions: Obverse: IMD CONSTHNTINVS ΠV... (Imperator Constantine Augustus). Reverse: SOLI INVIC-TO Cuıı… (To the Invincible Sol, Minister [of the Emperor]). In Exergue: Pıᴖ
Bibliography: RIC VII 62 var.
Notes: According to RIC, the P[LG] in the exergue of the reverse and [A] S in the field of the reverse are mintmarks (officinae) indicating Lugdunum. As opposed to the type in RIC, this obverse legend of this coin varies.
