Description:  Obverse: Busts of Herakleios and Herakleios the Elder, facing, bearded, wearing chlamys, with loros scarf draped over shoulders, and crown with pendilia. A cross in between their heads. Reverse: M; cross above.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: … m … RACLIO CONSULII (Our lords Herakleios, consuls). Reverse: ANNO XIIII ([Indiction] Year 14). Mint mark: … ΞANΔ. Control mark: A (1).

Notes:  Hahn assigns this coin to Alexandria, but we have preferred the DOC attribution, because of the denomination problem. Pierced obverse to reverse, at bottom of obverse. Two abortive piercings above; one on the obverse between the two heads, and one on the reverse between the cross and M.
