Reverse: Patriarchal cross crosslet on globus and three steps, with X at lower intersection, upturned crescent on shaft, and pellet at end of each cross arm. Bust of Nikephoros III to l. and Maria of Alania to r. each wearing appropriate crown and modified loros.
