Description: Obverse: Virgin nimbate, wearing tunic and maphorion, seated upon throne with back; holds beardless, nimbate head of Christ on breast. Reverse: Full-length figure of emperor on l., crowned by archangel Michael, beardless and nimbate; Emperor wears stemma, divitision and chlamys; holds in r. hand cross-topped sceptre and in l. hand anexikakia; Archangel wears short military tunic, breastplate and sagion; holds jeweled sceptre in l. hand.
