Description: Obverse: Virgin, nimbate, wearing tunic and maphorion, seated upon throne with back; B to l. and r. on throne back; holds beardless, nimbate head of Christ on breast. Reverse: full-length figure of emperor on l. and of Archangel Michael; emperor, bearded, wears stemma, collar-piece, paneled loros of simplified type and sagion; Archangel Michael, beardless and nimbate, wears short military tunic and breastplate.
