Description:  Obverse: Bust of Theodosius, facing r. draped, cuirassed, diademed. Reverse: inscription surrounded by laurel wreath.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: D N TH6ODO …C AVC (our lord Theodosius pious fortunate Augustus). Reverse: VOT / XV / MVLT / XX (prayers for 15 years of rule, more for the 20th anniversary). Mint mark: CONS [star] (mint of Constantinopolis).
