BIRRC-D0389.jpg

This piece has been made from seven narrow loom strips (17.5 cm in width) and woven on a double-heddle man's loom using hand-spun white yarn. There are intermittently weft stripes in indigo-dyed local yarn, with orange, red and green yarns, some of which may have been machine-spun. There are 'aska' (knife) weft motifs on some of the strips. It was possibly presented to the Danford Collection by J. Cadbury in 1968.
