A high quality conventional balance designed for weighing small objects with a sensitivity of 1µg. Masses of 0.1 to 20g are added to the scale pan, and masses of 0.01 to 0.10g are added as rings using the knob at top right. A rider positioned along the horizontal beam gives masses up to 10mg in steps of 0.1mg. The final resolution of 1µg is achieved by projecting a scale showing the deflection of the beam onto a screen.
