Handwritten letter from W. H. Wilkinson to Professor Hillhouse regarding the Larbalestier Lichens. Wilkinson that he called upon Mr. Mitchell who seemed interested in Larbalestier's lichens but declined to help as he had already given help to the university and intended to give more. Instead, Wilkinson approached T. H. Russell with no success and encloses his letter. Wilkinson has also spoke to Mr. Cranage and Mr Larbalestier himself. Wilkinson says that Nottingham are interested in the lichens and so they need to hurry up in securing help. Letter is written on Memorandum paper from 'T. Wilkinson & Sons, Pelican Work, Great Hampton Street, Birmingham' which is printed at the top of the paper.
