Printed letter to J. Ritchie Esq. of the Natural History Museum, Perth, from an unknown sender (like Miss Carman). There is no signature after 'Yours sincerely'. Sender thanks Ritchie for the time taken to look into the matter, and says that the collection they have is a complete collection with gaps rather than a number of specimens received in exchange and says that from the letters, they doubt whether the collection was made by Colonel Drummond Hay at all. The collection is mainly English too, not Scottish. The letter says that they are sending some sample sheets so that the present Colonel Drummond Hay could decipher whether the writing is his father's.
