A wattmeter measures the power dissipated in an electrical component. Connections are made to measure simultaneously the current flowing through and the p.d. across the component. This is a moving coil instrument of high quality and has a linear scale of 0 to 150 units. The range can be changed by inserting various plugs. Handwritten instructions and corrections dated Berlin 3 December 1902 are given in the lid of the box. Part of Oliver Lodge Collection.
