BIRRC-D0382.jpg

This piece has been woven on a double-heddle man's loom. It is composed of ten strips, each 9 cm wide, woven from (faded) light-green machine spun yarn (warp and weft) with supplementary weft-float motifs in crimson, blue and yellow rayon. The cloth has been joined in places and hemmed. Small brass rings are attached at one end. It makes a good comparison with the 'Keta Kente'(D0366). It was presented to the Danford Collection by Sister Evelyn Bellamy in 1969.
