Nerva became emperor following the deposition of Domitian in 96. Having no children of his own, Nerva adopted Trajan, who would succeed him. Nerva's short reign saw a number of economic and fiscal reforms, some of his taxation reforms are approapriately celebrated on the coins of his reign. |
