Description:  Obverse: Bust of Theodosius, facing r. draped, cuirassed, diademed, helmeted, with spear in r. hand and shield in l. hand. Reverse: Emperor, cuirassed, on boat raising r. hand, behind him a Victory.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: D N ΓHSΠDO SICS D □ □VC (our lord Theodosius pious fortunate Augustus). Reverse: CLORAI RO MANODVM (glory of the Romans). Mint mark: ALF A (Alexandria 1).

Bibliography:  RIC IX 15b var.

Notes:  Inscription in reverse spells GLORAI instead of GLORIA.
